Revenge Synopsis
Ye Tingyan returns from the depths of hell with a singular purpose: to take revenge on the Emperor and Empress who now occupy the throne. He was once Crown Prince Song Ling, a noble and upright heir who was framed in the “Ci Tang” conspiracy by his younger brother, Song Lan, and betrayed by his fiancée, Su Luowei. After enduring torture and being forced to watch them ascend the throne together, Song Ling changes his identity and transforms himself into the powerful court official Ye Tingyan.
Upon returning to the imperial court, Ye Tingyan encounters Empress Su Luowei once again. Revenge Story Breakdown
Song Ling was once the Crown Prince and heir to the throne. His life changes when he is framed in the “Ci Tang” conspiracy by his younger brother, Song Lan.
Song Ling is betrayed by his fiancée, Su Luowei, and suffers torture as a result of the conspiracy. He is eventually forced to watch as Song Lan and Su Luowei ascend the throne together.
After surviving what happened to him, Song Ling undergoes a gruesome transformation, altering his skin and bones so that he can assume a new identity. He returns to the imperial court as Ye Tingyan, a powerful court official determined to exact revenge.
Ye Tingyan’s return brings him face-to-face with Empress Su Luowei. Believing that she betrayed him, he treats her as a pawn while pursuing his plans. Their reunion takes place amid political struggles and mutual suspicion.
As Ye Tingyan investigates the events surrounding the “Ci Tang” conspiracy, he eventually uncovers the truth behind the case. The revelations allow him and Su Luowei to resolve their long-standing misunderstandings and recognize that they share a common enemy.
The two then form an alliance to overthrow the tyrant, clear the names of those wrongly accused in the “Ci Tang” case, and pursue the peaceful and prosperous realm they once hoped to create.
